Newspapers and Healthcare ???? a similar path ???

Revolutions create a curious inversion of perception. In ordinary times, people who do no more than describe the world around them are seen as pragmatists, while those who imagine fabulous alternative futures are viewed as radicals.

By now most of you are not only very familiar with this wonderfully insightful post by Clay Shirky, but you have re-tweeted it to all ends of the earth.

For those of us who are interested in the various health care debates taking place on FB and Twitter, there is very curious familiarity between some of Clay's arguments/comments on the past/future of the newspaper industry and the current debate surrounding our current health care system and the one that will arise *from the ashes*. Thoughts?
